This session will provide teachers with background knowledge of the Arabic-speaking sector of our refugee student population, including aspects of religious belief/practice, daily life, education and more. We will briefly explore the role that trauma plays and what we may have witnessed among students as a result. There will be time for workshop participants to share stories of their own experiences with refugee students and to ask questions.
